I just heard the news. He is no longer here. I’m going to walk, for hours in the dark. Just to keep moving. If I sit down now, I won’t get up again.
A shock runs through me.
Words that come to mind, I write them down.
A colorful person who seemed impossible to express his full intensity.
So much talent, passion, and skill, yet burdened by destructive self-criticism.
In search of an image, a form a way of processing. It helps me to organize and mourn.
His little dogs, his creativity, musicianship, and the strings that have now been broken.
The lightness, the life, the depth and intensity, as well as the darkness, the suffocating, the insurmountable.
I seek form, composition, balance, and play. To bring it all together and connect the lightness and darkness we are all familiar with.
Both were tangible and deserve their space..to be.
